Devon is famous for its beautiful scenery: the north coast surfing beaches; the sheltered bays and sandy coves of the south; the two National Parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor with their wild ponies and granite tors; the rolling green hills of mid-Devon with sleepy, unspoilt villages and The Jurassic coast, a World Heritage Site with 185 million years of the earth’s history shown in the high cliffs.
